How to take a good photo

If you don’t already have a favourite photograph I can use, here are some basic tips to help you take the best pictures. Clearer photos will enable me to give better detail in your portrait.

  • Use the best quality camera you have available
  • Don’t use the zoom function – move closer to the subject instead
  • Natural light is better than a flash
  • Avoid direct sun as it casts harsh shadows
  • Don’t worry if your photos have “red eye” as I can rectify this in the portrait

If you are unsure then feel free to take several photos and I will work from the best.
