1. Photographs

Your portrait will be drawn from a photograph or amalgamated from a selection of photographs. In the first instance I’d love to see some photos of the subject. These can be sent by email to drawnbyvicki@outlook.com along with some information about the person / animal I will be drawing.

A high quality portrait relies on the clarity of the photographs you provide. (See how to take a good photo).

2. Deposit

Once I have seen the photographs and we have discussed your requirements, a 30% refundable deposit is required to start work.

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with the portrait, I will first try to rectify this and make any changes. However, if you are still unhappy then I will refund your deposit.

3. Work commences

Upon receipt of the deposit I will commence work on the portrait. I will keep you updated on the progress – you can expect a completed portrait within 2-3 weeks, this may be slightly longer during busy periods. If there is a deadline for the portrait that needs to be met, please let me know before work begins.

If you would like amendments to the portrait, or if you feel something isn’t quite right, I will address this as many times as necessary to ensure you are fully satisfied.

4. Framing

Sadly due to the increasing costs of framing I can no longer offer this service free of charge. Framing charges are £15 for small, £20 for medium and £25 for large. For bigger commissions please contact me for framing costs.

5. Payment & Delivery

Once the portrait has been completed and approved, I will take payment and arrange for delivery to you. Delivery within 10 miles of my studio is free of charge. Beyond this, please see here for pricing.
